Fun and Friends Cont.
When my friends and I hangout we do all sorts of fun stuff. Alot of the stuff we do though is in the mall. We do things just to make the rent-a-cops mad and aggravated. I give my friends piggy-back rides through the mall and we have tried this thing called the thriple-piggy-back. Now just the name probably says it all but what we do is: I have ryan, the second biggest get on my back while keith, the smallest gets on ryans back...while on mine. So when everything is right we are walking around the mall with two people on my back and it's funny as hell. Another thing that we do is just make random noises while in the mall. We all start barking at people and little kids and thats just a dayful of laughs right there. We all also clap alot while we're in the mall. There is also another thing we do when we are in there that we call: The Piggy-back-wheelbarrel. Now how we do this is pretty easy. Ryan gets on my back and then keith gets down on all fours and I grab his feet and we walk around while kieth is doing the wheelbarrel while ryan is on my back. There was also a couple of times when we all got mountain dews from walmart or something and came to the mall and sat down on a bench. We then would all unscrew the cap and take a drink from the bottle and then put the cap back on simultaneously when someone walked by and could clearly see us. We have a lot of laughs at the mall. I think if anyone else spent as much time at the mall as we do they would get bored very easily, but we bring the fun to the mall so we all have a good time.
Fun and Friends
Me and my friends have a LOT of fun when we hang out. We do so much stupid, weird stuff that most people wouldn't even think of. There are many times when we just drive around and do funny stuff to people. We love to "pull a back tire." It's a lot of fun. We are driving down the road and we get right up next to somebody driving next to us and yell, "Your back tire! Your back tire! Some people's reaction is just truly hilarious. There are a lot of people who pull their car over and get out and check their tires and it's funny as hell because they actually fell for it. It's alot more fun though when we do it to somebody who's on a bicycle though. One time we were driving down Blairsferry Rd. and there was a guy who was riding his bike. We yelled out the window, "Your back tire!" He then turns aroundf while he's riding it and checks it, then returns to riding. We then yell it again and yet again he checks his back tire. We do this four times and everytime he looks back and checks his tire.

Driving Around Without License Plates
So far I haven't gotten plates yet for my car. I've gotten pulled over my first time on 42nd Street by Noelridge Pool. The cop just asked to see the title of the car and my insurance and of course my driver's license. She gave me a warning because she really didn't know if she could give me a ticket or not for not having a temporary license plate. She told me that I should probably call my insurance and ask them what to do..I never did. I got pulled over last Saturday too when I was in Marion. I was on my way to the mall from a christian hangout place called Catch419 and that's when I got pulled over. The cop flashed his lights and made me pull over into Village Inn and he came up to my door and told me he pulled me over for my plates. I gave him my insurance and the title to the car and he checked it out. He asked me where I got the car and I told him from a lady who lives out on county home road, it was an individual sale. He told me then that you can only get temporary license plates from a car dealership and that I couldn't get them because I bought it individually. I know that I have a month to get plates after I bought the car and it had only been roughly two weeks so I knew that I still had time to get plates. I'm getting the plates for the car on friday because that's when I get paid and thats when I'll be able to get them. I'm getting tired of always getting pulled over. It's a major waste of time and I know that as soon as I have plates on the car i'll be a happy man.

When another one of my friends got in BIG trouble
My friend was working for this construction company during the summer and I think all that happened to him wouldn't have if he just hung out with different people. There are a lot of drugees and people who are ex-cons that work at construction places or other jobs like that because everybody else doesn't want to hire an ex-con so there were plenty of people there that you could easily get in trouble with if you were just around them. Well my friend was pretty good friends with a guy that worked there after he worked there for a few months and he started to hang out with him after work. One time my friend drove him to the gas station and he went in and stole a whole bunch of stuff. He had armfulls of stuff and he just filled up my friends car with the stuff. This guy that my friend was hanging out with also had access to guns and things like that so my friend bought a gun from him and two pairs of brass knuckles. He kept everything in his car at all times and that was probably a very stupid desicion because a cop caught onto their robberies and tracked my friend down one day. The cop searched the car and he found the gun and the two pairs of brass knuckles. He also found a BUNCH of stolen merchandise. My friend went to jail at that point for about 4 months. He just got out about a month ago. I know he's not a bad kid...he just met and hung out with the wrong people. The guy my friend got all the stuff from ran away and went to alaska and no one ever caught him. Thats how you know when you have real friends. Friends wouldn't have ran away like that, putting the blame all on you. When you have a good friend you know that they'd always stand by you no matter what the situation is. If that means taking the fall with them, so be it

When one of my friends got pulled over with weed!
I wasn't with my friend at the time because I don't do that kinda stuff because I don't smoke weed of course. My friend got pulled over one night because he had a headlight out and of course he was smoking weed at the time. I don't know the entire story but i'll do my best to tell it straight. Well the cop pulled him over and he could smell the weed mixed in with the cigarette smoke and he didn't say anything at first about that. The cop asked him for his liscence and registration and my friend opened up the glove compartment to get it out. When he opened the glove box a pipe fell out and my friend hoped that the cop didn't see it fall out of there. He gave the cop his liscence and registration and then the cop looked at the documents and said, "By the way could I see that pipe you have too?" And my friend got extremely nervous because they caught him now with an illegal substance. The cop looked at the pipe and smelled inside of it and could definitely tell there was marijuana residue in it. The cop then told him and the three people he was with to get out of the car and he searched the car. The cop found another pipe and two bongs along with two CO2 guns. My friend was in deep shit and he knew it. The cop gave him a ticket and arrested him and took him to jail where he had to wait for a couple hours for his mom to come and bail him out. He now goes to a place for druggies and for people who want to quit certain types of drugs. The court ordered him to go there.
New Car
I just got a 1991 chevy corsica about three days ago and it runs fine and everything. I bought it for 700 dollars and i still haven't gotten insurance or plates yet. I really need to do that before I get pulled over without any insurancew. I know that if I do get pulled over then I will have a pretty hefty fine to pay if the police officer finds out that I have no insurance. I've already gotten pulled over once but it wasn't because I did anything wrong. Yesterday I was driving around during lunch and I was smoking a cigarette and one of my friends were too. We pulled up at the stoplight on 42nd street and a cop was sitting there and he watched my friend take a puff off his cig. The cop followed us until we got to lovely lane were I parked and he parked behind me and told my friend to get out of the car. He asked how old he was and my friend told him he was only 17. When a situation l;ike this occurs you just know that your friend is f**ked. I thought he was going to give my friend a smoking ticket because he was really mad at him. It turned out that the cop just told my friend to find some other place to go smoke and didn't do anything at all. My friend got off lucky...REAL lucky.

Growing Up
There is a time when every young person matures and gets a job and moves out of their parents house. For some people it's when they turn 18 or when they graduate college. I even have friends that moved out as soon as they graduated highschool, not even being 18 yet. Everyone has to move out and if you don't your life could get seriously messed up. There are those 30 years olds who are thirty and they still haven't moved out. My girlfriends uncle for example, he lives at my girlfriend's grandma's house (or his mom's house) and he has three kids. It's really a strain for all of them to live there because it's not a very big house. So what people need to do is move out as fast as they can or as fast as they can afford it. I am moving out in about two months from my house, though I wanted to move out as soon as I turned 18. I didn't have3 a job at the time so me moving out in December, when I turned 18, would have been impossible to afford it. I have a construction job lined up making 11 dollars as hour as soon as I graduate. My friend works there and he gets weekly checks of about 350 dollars so it seems like a really good job. I know that if I work there for about a month then I'll have enough money to get an apartment started on my own. I'll even have enough money to get a new car if I wanted to. There is a bachelor pad on edgewood road for 180 dollars a month and my friend is planning on moving in with me as soon as he turns 18 and that'll cut all of my costs in half.

Church
I used to go to church every single sunday and every single wednesday but lately I haven't gone to church in a long time. I used to go to United Methodist church in marion and it was an okay church. It was reaaallly boring everytime I went there but I just thought that it was normal for every church to be boring and for every church be typical like that. We moved out of Marion and moved to Hiawatha where I began attending church at New Begginnings Church. The first time I went there I thought it was going to be like every other church and I knew it'd be another boring, old pastor with another boring, old sermon. I found out that it wasn't like any other church i've ever been to. It was awesome. The youth pastors tried to make things as fun as possible and they did a really good job. Everytime I went to youth group they would have pizza or walking tacos or some other great food for everyone to eat. They would listen to GOOD music, not that boring gospel music. It was rock and even some really heavy christian music. I never thought that there would be a christian screamo band. Those two genres just don't seem like it would mix very well but I was wrong! The youth pastor there (Chris Richards) is a great guy. Everytime I came in it was like he actually wanted to know what was going on in my life and everyone else's life. Every other church I went to before that the pastors didn't really care about you, they just asked like how's it going and didn't really try to know you. That was a major change from what I was used to. Just having people I could count on changed the way I thought, my actions, and essentially my whole life and how I lived it. Going to that church opened my life up to new ideas and a better life. That church was going under because they were giving away too much money to people who needed it and they couldn't pay for the rent and salaries and my mom decided that she wanted to switch churches before they went under and she and my sister started going to New Covenant. I never went to this church and I stuck with New Begginnings. Then my mom randomly signed me up to go on this trip to Mexico with the church and she already paid for me so I decided I'd try it out and go on this trip for spring break. I was so glad I went. I met so many new people who were all kind and caring. I also met a girl and she was awesome. At first I thought she was just annoying because she just wouldn't leave me alone! Then I realized that she liked me and we started talking, about EVERYTHING. I have never talked to a girl or pretty much anyone in the kind of depth that we talked in. We talked for probably 4 hours one day and it was really crazy because I don't usually like meeting new people and when I do I'm always quiet and shy. I've kept in touch with her and she really seems like a good friend, one that I can count on.

My Trip to Mexico
My trip was EXTREMELY boring. Well not the whole thing but the ride there and the ride back. The first day we set out the bus ride was 23 hours long and we only stopped for food and bathroom breaks along with refilling the gas tank. In that 23 hours we only got to El Paso, Texas and we stayed at a church there. The church was pretty nice but what I liked was the huge mountain about 100 yrds away from the church. Me and about 8 other people decided that we wanted to climb the moutain and so we did. It was extremely exhausting and i had to stop and catch my breath about 5 times. There were also some parts that we had to climb where we couldn't just walk up it, we had to climb and sometimes we had to climb parts that were straight up and down, which I thought was AWESOME. I love rock climbing. I think it's the most fun I ever have when I rock climb. Well finally we got to the top and it was the most amazing view you can think of and you definitely had that feeling of accomplishment. After getting down from the moutain I was so tired that I just passed out on a pew in the chapel. In the morning we left the church and went on the road again and went to the Texas-Mexico border. We just passed right through and went to a church in Juarez, Mexico where we stayed for about 4 days. During those 4 days we built a house and originally the building of the house was supposed to take 4 days but we worked really hard and really fast and it only took us 3 days which is extremely fast for having 22 people. We built the house for a Mexican family in what would be considered the ghetto of that town. All of the materials came from an organization called Casas por Cristo and they also gave us a guy named Josh that would help us and tell us exactly how to build the house. Casas por Cristo builds about 700 houses a year for the homeless people in Mexico and they really provide a good service to the people who need it in Mexico. After we got done building the house I played soccer with about 10 other people that lived in the area, mostly younger kids. I had this great sense of accomplishment after we got done with the house and I felt like I did something, like i really helped this family out. I could see the tears in their eyes afterward when we were dedicating the house to the family. I really felt good for myself and it made the whole trip worth it. We then left Mexico but we got stopped and they searched the trailer that we were pulling behind us, just to make sure we weren't smuggling any Mexicans into the country. We also all had to show them our passports, just to make sure we were legal citizens of the United States. On the way back to Iowa we stopped at a really cool and interesting place called Carlsbad Caverns. It was really cool seeing all the rock formations and getting to basically hike 80 stories underground. There were many places where it looked like the light shown down through the caverns and I thought that it was real sunlight but when I asked a man working down there he told me that there is no sunlight whatsoever but the lights that they put in down there gave it the effect of sunlight shining in. I guess it makes sense because we were 80 stories underground. When we got back to Iowa there was a bunch of people waiting for us (about 30 or 40) and they all welcomed us back home.

Mexico

I am going to Mexico for Spring Break and I have some mixed feelings about the whole trip. From what I know their whole government is run by Mexican gangs and there is a lot of Gang warfare going on down there. People have told me to be careful and some have even told me that I could get shot. I don't know if this is true or not but it doesn't help my worries. My mom signed me up to go with my church a couple weeks ago and i'm going there so that I can help build houses for the homless people living in Mexico. We're supposed to build a house in about 4 days and from what I understand the houses aren't going to be that big so I don't think it's going to be that much of a challenge. I've always wanted to live in the danger and now I get to go where there could possibly be a lot of danger. That'd be pretty cool if I got shot and could come back and say, "I got shot in the leg by some Mexican gangs." I know that the pain would be excruciating, but I think I can handle that. I know that going there will be hard because their living conditions aren't that good. I know that for at least a couple nights I will have to sleep on the floor and I know that their water down there isn't safe to drink so that will be a different experience for me.

BLOGGING
When I first heard in this class that we would have to blog I didnt actually know what that meant. I know from previous years like in Mr. Moran's class I had to post on a forum called the Kennedy Forum and I was a major blogger, you could say, on that. I still curently hold the highest amout of posts posted on the forum besides those kids who use computer programs to post about once a minute. I now know that this blogging website is almost exactly like the Kennedy Forum besides the fact that other people don't post on my blog even though they could. I thought that the blogging done on this website was fun but i just couldn't keep up on the posting. I don't have that much free time away from school and I don't like writing in front of other people in the computer lab because I cannot concentrate. I personally don't think that this blogging idea was a good one because, what I've heard is, people aren't doing that good with the posting. I thought that there were a number of people including myself that did not meet the amout of posts that was required. It's a lot easier to post on the Kennedy Forum because there are other people who post on there too and they contribute ideas to talk about. When I'm sitting in front of a computer, I always just go blank with ideas. The other people on the Forum throw in ideas and topics to talk about and I personally think that the posting comes easier for me. I like just sitting there and talking to other people while throwing ideas around in the Forum and I think that if we did something like that next term it woulde make it a lot easier for everyone.

Ipods and MP3 player's in School
I think that students should be able to use their ipods or other music device in school if they want to. I think it should be this way because their are those few kids who actually need the music in the background in order to concentrate. Like me right now. I usually listen to music whenever i do school work but today i left my headphones in school and i know that i am not typing as fast as i normally do just because i am missing that background music. I don't think that the teacher has the right to take away an ipod or any other music device because it may actually be benefiting the student work progress. In my 3rd hour class i do not do anything if i dont have my ipod. I just sit there staring off into space because i personally cannot concentrate very hard without it. There are some exceptions though. The students that are pretty much ignoring the teacher and are paying all their attention to the ipod sitting in front of them do actually deserve to get it taken away from them because it is disrupting the teacher's lesson.
So on a final note. I think that students should be able to use their ipod or mp3 player or any other music device in class as long as they are paying attention in class.

Hats in School
I personally don't think that it is right that we can't wear hats in school besides the occasional "hat day" becuase i want to wear my hat. It's a way i can express myself without using words. I wish Kennedy was more like Metro High School. They really don't care if you wear your hat in school or not and I think that is amazing. I want to have the right to freely express myself without having to take my hat off everytime I pass an administrator in the hall. Those hat days at school are gay anyways. It's completely pointless to wear your hat for one day and then not be able to any of the other days. I heard from a respectable source that Mr. Maxi said that in a couple of years or even sooner than that they will let the teachers decide if you can wear your hat in class or not. I also heard from the same person that all of the administrators including Dr. W believe that it actually should be the teachers desicion if you can wear a hat in school or not because they are getting sick of having to tell the students to take their hat off while in school.

The Best Damn Car in the World

I love the look, the feel, and the way that fast cars burnout. All ive dreamed of since i was a kid is getting a fast, sick car. I want one that looks cool and goes fast, really fast. What i want is a Lotus Elise. They're slick, look AMAZING, and they drive real fast. It's not very often when you see these cars around. They are VERY expensive. Most of them run about $80,000...that's a lot of money. I was at a baseball game when I used to still play baseball and there was a lotus there and it had to have been one of the best days in my life. It was sooo cool being able to be right next to a car that expensive, that fast, it was crazy. I think this car is the best car in the world and i plan on getting it someday. I don't care how much it costs by then i'm going to find a way to get that car. I'll probably be one of those old guys that drive around the fancy car who have worked their entire life just to spend all that money on one car, but a sick and tight car.

College
For some people college is as easy as pie to go to...idk if i could pull it off. I don't really want to go to college but i know its a good idea and i know that if i want to get anywhere in life then i need to go to college. More and more teenagers are saying "fuck college" and I don't know how they plan on getting through life. There are those few exceptions who actually don't go to college and make it through with a very happy and wealthy lifestyle, like my girlfriend's relatives. Her step-dad and uncle and a bunch of cousins are working for a construction company that they started and they are making big bucks now. They never even went to college.

Music
The music i like to listen to would consist of bands like: papa roach, killswitch engage, metallica, system of a down, korn, saliva, deepfield, disturbed, drowning pool, just a lot of heavy metal kinds of bands. A song that i have discovered just recently is Hollywood Whore by Papa Roach and i like it a lot cause its something new and doesn't sound a whole lot like papa roach. I like the video that youtube has of this song. at the end of the music video papa roach and all his bands members are just screaming the lyrics while blood is flying all around them from a girl who is deteriorating almost. Her skin is falling or burning off and she is blowing up right in the music video and its sooooo cool to just sit there and watch it all happen. Another band that i really like is tenacious d just because its some of the funniest stuff ive ever heard of and i just laugh my ass off everytime i hear one of their songs cause their sooo hilarious. My favorite song by them is the song in the movie where they are in the rock off with the devil. My second favorite song is The Metal just because it was on guitar hero III and its a real fun song to play.
What I Want to be When I Grow Up
When i grow up i'd like to be a cop. my plan is to take all the law enforcement classes in college and then as soon as i get out i think i'm going to join the national gaurd or something like that and go through them to get my actual training for the job. The main reason i want to be a cop is because i want to be able to carry a gun on me at all times, i want to catch some potheads doing a drug deal, i want to shoot somebody. I would also like to drive the cop cars they have nowadays, they are really high-tech and the engine is POWERFUL. I'd love to just put my lights on and just run a red light...that would be exhilirating. If i was to be a cop though, I'd probably move to Chicago or some other city with a ton of crime so i could make the most money that i could.
